Sarah Learmonth is a freelance, feminist researcher with a particular focus on policy and communications from 9 years working as a Communications Officer in a busy Rape Crisis Centre. My MA dissertation in Woman and Child Abuse Studies is the first study ever to explore bail use in rape cases from the survivor perspective. Currently I'm a PhD researcher at LSE exploring how the myth of bail as protection influences how wider institutional, community and workplace safeguarding frameworks are used to protect women who report rape.
