Jennifer values her role as an advocate and has experience of caring for vulnerable women who have suffered domestic abuse, providing support, guidance, and empowering women to speak out and seek support.
Jennifer is completing a MSc qualification and is about to commence a population health fellowship focusing on the social determinants of health that exist within society.
Jennifer is passionate about an equitable health system for all, women's health, maternal health and reducing gender inequity. Additionally, how health empowerment can be utilised to change population health outcomes.
Furthermore, Jennifer is keen to explore how health care professionals and public sector organisations aid disclosure of domestic abuse. With aspirations to create a multi professional approach to ensure those who are a victim of domestic abuse receive timely advice and appropriate referral to domestic abuse organisations.
