Dr Mia Scally is a lecturer in Forensic Psychology– Forensic Criminology at Middlesex University, having previously undertaken roles with Victim Support and HMPPS. Mia specialises in intimate partner violence and abuse in the context of the family courts and has previously provided training for professionals in the field.
Mia has been commissioned, alongside colleagues, to undertake research for the Ministry of Justice, Unicef, LACS, and the European Commission. She is currently an advisory group member for the Family Law Cultural Change Training Advisory Group with SafeLives. Mia was an academic advisor for the Victim Strategy in 2018, and is a member of the British Psychological Society.
