Dr Adrienne Barnett is a Reader in Law at Brunel University, specialising in domestic abuse.

Dr Barnett was a Family Law barrister for 30 years, primarily representing parents and children in serious care cases and in private law cases involving allegations of domestic abuse.
She is currently a Reader in Law at Brunel University, specialising in researching domestic abuse and the family courts, including parental alienation.
She has been commissioned to produce reports for the Ministry of Justice and is a member of the Advisory Group of Rights of Women and of Women's Aid's Expert Advisory Group to the Child First campaign.
